We are Groot!
When Marvel was working on Guardians of the Galaxy, they were probably pinning their hopes for merchandising and appeal to the younger audiences on Groot. Suffice to say they were super successful with this particular character and he now has a very successful merchandising line. We’re pretty huge fans of Groot ourselves so we looked around for the nicest collectible figures we could get and here are our top 3 so far.
In the photo above there are two Groot figures from Funko Pop (left and right). Through the years Funko Pop has grown into a massive toy brand. Their signature chibi bobble head figures are in the homes and offices of fans all around the world. With Funko Pop collectibles you don’t get articulation (what you see is what you get). They are just crazy cute and are quite affordable. The two Groot figs above are the Dancing and normal variants. Both sell for around Php500-Php600 locally.
The more interesting Groot figure though is the one in the middle of the photo above. This is the Little Groot 1/4th Scale Collectible Figure by Hot Toys. This figure offers so much more poseability but it is kinda small compared even to the Funko Pop collectibles. It’s also kinda pricey.
The figure stands at around 12 cm tall, which is roughly the height of a standard single fold wallet. It has 6 points of articulation which mostly lets you pose the arms, bend the body, and turn the head. This itself is a pretty big deal already as it lets you enjoy the fig in a variety of signature Groot poses (versus the static Funko Pop).
Lastly, as you can see from the photos, we get three different head sculpts.

Little Groot by Hot Toys was offered on a limited basis earlier this month. The main rollout though is January-February and it will sell for $44.
And there you have it! Three super cute and nice Groot collectibles.
WE ARE GROOT!!! 🙂
