Zack Snyder “Broke The Internet” today… And in Kingly fashion no less, as the director for the upcoming “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” has just tweeted the very first image of Khal Drogo actor and Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa as AQUAMAN!
Here’s the offial Tweet from the director himself!

Holding his trademark Trident in hand and looking very intimidating with his getup and attire, Momoa’s interpretation of The King of The Seven Seas is undoubtedly inspired by his 90’s look, which gave the character a more gladiator-like appearance.
However, he’ll be keeping both hands and looks more Poseidon like thanks to his tattoos and Atlantean heritage.
As one of the most recognizable yet easily misunderstood heroes in the DC Universe, Aquaman is one of the original founders of the Justice League. Since his first appearance in 1941, the man known as Arthur Curry was literally a man of two worlds, born to a human father and an Atlantean queen who fell in love with each other. After his mother dies when he was just a baby, Arthur was raised by his father and slowly taught the secrets of his heritage as he grew. Learning to swim underwater and communicate with undersea life, he eventually reunited with his heritage and met the people of Atlantis. Discovering his purpose and driven to protect both worlds, Arthur Curry became the King of the Seven Seas and adopted the heroic name of “Aquaman”.
As the first cinematic appearance of the character on film, Jason Momoa will be the first actor to play Aquaman in the big screen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He will be sharing the big screen with Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Gal Gadot, who play Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman respectively.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will open in theaters on March 24, 2016!
