Star Wars Battleground is set for release on the 17th of November for the PC, XBox One, and PlayStation 4. The game, developed by EA Dice and published by Electronic Arts, was initially announced at E3 2014 and has been making waves in the gaming world. It serves as a perfect way to pass the time while we wait for Episode 7 to open in cinemas in December.
This open beta for the game started this weekend and will unfortunately be coming to an end on the 12th or 13th depending on the region. Of course, we’ve been playing as much as we could and decided to give you a tiny look into one of the gameplay modes available in multiplayer called, Drop Zone.
Drop Zone is a 16 vs 16 battleground where the Rebel Alliance and Imperial Forces duke it out to control escape pods that contain power ups, which can be used to turn the tide of battle. The team who captures 5 of these control points first, or whoever has the highest points at the end of 10 minutes wins the game. We should also point out that it can end in a tie.
