Oh, what a joy it is to be a Geek these days! Not only is Captain America: Civil War now showing in Cinemas but TOMORROW IS INTERNATIONAL TABLE TOP DAY!! But what’s a Boardgame Geek gotta do to celebrate? Don’t worry! We got your back! Here’s a guide to places you can go with things you can do to celebrate ITTD.
For those of you who don’t know what International TableTop Day (ITTD) is and/or want to know some of the special promotional stuff you might win in these ITTD events, you can refer to this recent article of ours to find out more. This guide will be focusing on what some of the major Tabletop places have planned for tomorrow so you can sign up for their events… or make a Boardgame cafe pilgrimage tomorrow and visit them all! 😛
GAMING LIBRARY
- Participating Branches:
- Dyce N Dyne
- Location: Unit 3 Elements @Rosemarie Bldg. Pasig Blvd
- Burger Company
- Location: 87 Scout Reyes corner Mother Ignacia Avenue, Barangay Paligsahan, Quezon City
- Makati Beer & Boardgames
- Location: 3rd floor Pamana Building, 926 Arnaiz corner MAkati Ave. San Lorenzo Village, Makati
- Dyce N Dyne
If you visit any of these Gaming Library partner stores tomorrow, you’ll be in for a treat! They’ll be doing an activity called BOARDGAME BINGO! Every person who goes into the stores tomorrow will get a Boardgame Bingo Card (no purchase requirement). So just like any Bingo game, you need to complete the patterns to win. But to do so, you need to complete the tasks of the square you wanna fill up.
Are you up for the challenge? Then prepare for a day of fun-filled boardgaming! It’s a fun way to get the most out of your ITTD gaming and win some prizes along the way. Who knows? You might even just discover some new games that you’ll like! And with the range of challenges that their Boardgame Bingo card has, it’s definitely a huge possibility. Stay tuned to their Facebook Page to find out more!
LUDO GAMING CAFE
- Participating Branch: Ludo Makati
- Location: No. 38 Jupiter St. Corner Planet St. Brgy. Bel-Air Makati
The 24-Hour Gaming Marathon is practically a Ludo tradition during ITTD! This awesome event lets you experience a full day of gaming… LITERALLY. Talk about Iron Man Boardgaming! While you CAN leave whenever you want, there will be an on-going raffle and eligibility is based on if you’re still part of the gaming marathon meaning you haven’t left. The longer you stay, the more chances you have of winning AND the better the prizes get.
There IS a registration fee but from the last update of their Event Page, there are still a few slots and you may be able to walk-in and pay from there. Some of the prizes include Boardgames, FunkoPop Toys, Gift Certificates, and much much more. Check out their page and, if you’re interested, you may wanna contact them and/or drop on by to take part in the challenge. At the very least, you may just wanna check this event out.
NEUTRAL GROUNDS
- Location: Hobby Expo
- 4th Floor, Expo Hall 2 in Fisher Mall
- Duration: April 29 – May 1, 2016
Neutral Grounds will be celebrating ITTD for 3 whole days! The activities will be held at the Hobby Expo and they’ll be having various tournaments and game demos for the duration of the event. There will be tournaments for various games such as Splendor, 7 Wonders, Cash N’ Guns, and more. Each of the tournaments will have their own registration fees and time slots. Fire Sword will be giving out a nice reward for those who choose to play there during ITTD! For playing any game there tomorrow, you’ll get a chance to win Php 300 Fire Sword Gift Certificate. Not bad for just simply dropping by and getting your boardgaming on. 🙂 You can check their Facebook Page for additional information.
Alternatively, Puzzles and Laruan Atbp. Cafe have been hinting on their Facebook pages that they have a nice surprise for those who’ll drop by their cafe’s tomorrow for some ITTD action.
So how will YOU be celebrating International TableTop Day tomorrow? Are you planning on going to one or more of these places? Do you know of another ITTD Event that wasn’t mentioned here? Or are you celebrating it in your own way? Tell us about it down at the comments!
