Could be providence but NVIDIA’s launch of the 10-series coinciding with Asus Republic of Gaming’s 10th year in the industry is such a happy coincidence that we can’t help but be giddy inside when we found out that the lovely Gaming Notebooks that Asus ROG churned out this year is getting an incredible upgrade!
That’s right, the ASUS Republic of Gamers GX800, along with the G800, G752, and Strix GL502 gaming laptops are now available with the latest VR-Ready NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10-series graphics cards.
SOOO MUCH POWAAAAHHH!!!
This means that, for the first time, gaming notebooks can honestly stand toe-to-toe with standalone gaming rigs out there. How the guys were able to fit NVDIA’s 10-series in those compact notebooks is anybody’s guess, but we’re certainly happy they were able to do so.
NVDIA’s GeForce GTX10 series (1060, 1070 and 1080) allows for superb graphic management, keenly optimized to run games at max settings and to allow units to play graphically advanced games that have yet to come out of the woodwork – VR play being one of them.
Equipped with G-Sync (NVIDIA’s proprietary technology to reduce screen tearing, input lag, and stuttering), these new upgraded ROG Gaming Notebooks ensure that you get buttery-smooth visuals.
UNCOMPROMISING POWER
The Asus ROG G752VS will feature the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card, an unlocked 6th-generation Intel Core i7 ‘Skylake’ processor, and up to 64GB DDR4 RAM. The unlocked processor has an overclocking toolkit, allowing users to overclock the system to speeds of up to 4.0GHz. ROG G752VS boasts a super-fast 120Hz refresh rate and a 178 degree wide-view-angle panel for superb image quality and contrast even when viewed from extreme angles.
The ROG G752VM variant features the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card, which is designed around the new NVIDIA Pascal architecture. ROG G752VM is also powered by a 6th-generation Intel Core i7 ‘Skylake’ processor and up to 64GB DDR4 RAM, and has a backlit anti-ghosting keyboard with 30-key rollover for precise control and input during intense gaming sessions.
FLEXIBLE GAMING
Moving to the more “affordable” yet equally powerful gaming notebook from the series, the ROG Strix GL502 is a compact and lightweight gaming laptop powered by the latest 6th-generation Intel Core i7 quad-core processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10-series graphics. The GL502VS model features NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics, while the GL502VM variant features NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics.
ROG Strix GL502 delivers efficient and powerful performance, and is ideal for heavy gaming or productive multitasking. It has a 15-inch panel and also supports a 178-degree viewing angles so there is no color shift even when viewing the screen from extreme positions.
So far, we do not have word on official price and availability aside from that the laptops are coming (and they’re coming soon)! We here at Ungeek can’t wait to get our hands on a unit (or two – pretty please, ASUS ROG? :p ) and run them through the gauntlet.
Get hyped yo! The Republic of Gamers just got bigger!
