Starting tomorrow, November 23 8:00AM (Manila Time, UTC +8), trainers will be able to receive double the amount of XPs and Stardusts for completing in-game actions such as capturing / transferring / evolving Pokémon, doing Gym Battles, walking your Buddy, and visiting Poké Stops. Why? Because that’s how PoGo does Thanksgiving!
This is a treat from Niantic and The Pokémon Company for the continued support of trainers around the world for the game. They send their warmest thanks with this message:
It has been an incredible experience since we launched Pokémon GO a few short months ago in July.
We are passionate about creating experiences that encourage exploration and promote exercise. We are humbled that hundreds of millions of you around the world have joined us on this journey.
So we would like to say thank you – and what better way to say thank you than to celebrate our community.
This bonus will be available until November 30, 8AM (Manila Time , UTC +8).
On a separate post, Niantic has also announced the adjustment of the Combat Power (CP) of a various Pokémon. This includes the CPs of Rhydon, Alakazam, and Gengar. The change in CP will allow for a more balanced and competitive battling / training experience in Gyms. When necessary, Niantic promises to continue to adjust Pokémon CPs moving forward to improve game balance.
In addition, Niantic’s latest update of Pokémon GO is now available download via Google Play (v 0.47.0) and App Store (1.17.0). The update includes fixes for text displays, and the Egg-hatching cutscene animation.
