Earlier this year it was recently revealed that Japan will host the 2020 Olympics – I bet all you geeks drooled at the video teaser right here…
Oh, you already saved up for that? Well, it looks like you have to do it all over again (and maybe sell an organ or two) as Nintendo officially announced that a “Super Nintendo World” theme park is well on the horizon!
Take a look at the concept art on what it could look like below: (Image taken from the Nintendo Japan website)
Now that looks like some place I want to go to! I mean, who wouldn’t want to visit a real-life Mushroom Kingdom? I’m expecting a lot of jumping… And pipes! And lava pits?
Nintendo partnered up with Universal Studios for this one, with the first location to open up in Osaka, Japan to be followed by Orlando and Hollywood in America. We can safely assume that the attractions will be based on popular brand franchises like Zelda and Metroid.
Expect the theme park to open it’s doors well before the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. So don’t say I didn’t tell you to start saving ahead of time! Now, how many kidney’s do you have left?
