Bunkamura Orchard Hall, Shibuya – The recently concluded Shin Godzilla vs. Evangelion Symphony (yes, that mashup actually happened, because Japan) was a monumental symphonic event that pits two monstrosities with one another in a, well, musical extravaganza!
The symphony included none other than the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Masamichi Amano.
Special guests included Yoko Takahashi, best known for performing the original opening theme of Evangelion (Cruel Angel Thesis) and very special surprise guest Hideaki Anno, the Director of Evangelion and Shin Godzilla.
What made the night more memorable was the message from Director Hideaki Anno, where he told the concert goers to “‘Please expect the next installment of Shin Godzilla, and Shin Evangelion Gekijōban.”
Madman Entertainment confirmed the news as well over their Twitter page:
Hideaki Anno confirms next #ShinGodzilla and #Evangelion films live at the Shin Godzilla vs. Evangelion Symphony! 🎶 https://t.co/mG41RbXEo4 pic.twitter.com/EEpkMHElv9

Excited? No further details were added during that bit. Hey, at least we got something to look forward to in the future!
