April is going to be a busy month for movie goers everywhere as 3 of the biggest movies of the year is set to air on local cinemas starting April 15, 2017 and trust me when I say that you will not want to miss any of these!
First off is Fast and Furious 8 and I am personally more excited for this than any of the big films this April! I’ve seen and followed all of the films from the first one and even as the 8th installment is incoming in a few days, I still get goose bumps thinking of what’s next for the crew! As we’ve seen in the past trailers for F8, we know that the film will revolve around the family being divided as the strongest link in the chain Dom (Vin Diesel) strangely leaves the crew to serve and follow orders from the cyber terrorist portrayed by none other than Charlize Theron. With Dom out, the rest of the team is left to wonder how to stop an all out war from happening but Hobbes, played by none other than The Rock, has other things in his mind and it involves none other than Deckard Shaw. The cast from F7 returns as Ludacris, Tyrese, Nathalie Emmanuele return along with Elsa Pataky and Kurt Russell to form an all star cast that is sure to leave you hanging at the edge of your seats! Things are about to heat up as the ties that bind the family are all on the line on the 8th installment of the long running series Fast and Furious, coming to cinemas on April 15, 2017, distributed by United International Pictures through Columbia Pictures!
Next up, we’ve got the cute and lovable The Boss Baby from DreamWorks! Boss Baby explores the wonders of a child’s imagination and celebrates the precious bond between siblings. Featuring the voices of Alec Baldwin, Lisa Kudrow, Jimmy Kimmel, Steve Buscemi and Miles Bakshi, The Boss Baby is packed with memorable and relatable characters based on the best-selling book by Marla Frazee. I can totally relate to this film being the only child in the family for a while until the next one comes along and steals the spotlight from you! It’s a light hearted film that tackles the reality of having a new kid in town, so to speak, and the family dynamics that go along with it. Truly another family hit incoming, The Boss Baby opens on April 15 as well in cinemas from 20th Century Fox as distributed by Warner Bros.!
Last but definitely not the least, we’ve got the much awaited and highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster hit from the 80’s (because of the awesome soundtrack)! Picking up where Guardians of the Galaxy —2014’s highest grossing film of the summer—left off, Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the action-packed, irreverent, epic space adventures of Peter Quill aka Star-Lord and his gang of eccentric characters as they patrol and protect the universe, doing mercenary work in the wake of the popularity and fame they garnered from saving Xandar. Returning in Vol. 2 is the star studded cast featuring Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket, Michael Rooker as Yondu, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, and much much more! Join this band of misfits as we inch closer and closer to the Infinity Wars and learn of all the storylines leading up to that epic battle as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits cinemas on April 26, 2017 as distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures!
