ASUS is a big brand that’s heavily loved, so it’s no wonder they’ve been in the country for 10 years now! Congratulations ASUS! To commemorate, we look back(-ish) at 10 ASUS products we love, products that have revolutionized the market, and products that are simply drop-dead gorgeous.
Zenbook 3 Deluxe

ASUS has been making headway into the laptop market for a while now, and the Zenbook 3 Deluxe is the pinnacle of that achievement. With an incredibly thin body at 12.9mm and 1.1kg weight, the Zenbook 3 Deluxe is what thin laptops aspire to be – portable, yet blazingly fast for productivity. Truly a mix of beauty and power.
Zenbook Flip S
If that’s not thin enough, ASUS went all the way with its Zenbook Flip S. Touted as the world’s thinnest convertible laptop, the Zenbook Flip S comes in at 10.9mm thin and 1.1kg light. Performance is no compromise as it also packs in an Intel Core i7-7500U with a 1TB PCIe SSD.
Zenfone 3 max 5.5
When ASUS announced its Zenfone 3 line-up, people were all eyes at the Zenfone 3 Max as a budget smartphone with a powerful battery life. But it was when the 5.5-inch variant was released that truly became a game changer with its whopping 4100mAh battery life and a bigger screen.
ASUS Zenfone 3 Zoom
The Zenfone 3 Zoom is particularly interesting, because despite the emphasis on photography, it’s overall design and specs are what made it outstanding. Two 12-megapixel rear cameras at 2.3x optical zoom, a large 5000mAh battery (which incidentally is actually thinner than the Zenfone 3 Max), and a large 4GB RAM makes it a very solid smartphone. We brought the Zenfone 3 Zoom with us on various adventures and are very happy with it. To read more about the phone, click HERE and HERE.
ASUS Strix Z270i
The mini-ITX market in the Philippines is, contrary to the namesake, actually growing bigger and bigger. When Intel released its Kabylake processors, mini-ITX builders were often discouraged because the bigger and medium-sized boards often get priority. Asus gave computer builders what they want by being the first to release an overclockable Kabylake mini-ITX board, packed with all the features you expect from the Asus Strix brand.
ASUS Crosshair VI Hero
Not dropping the ball, ASUS was also one of the first companies to release a motherboard when Ryzen finally hit the shelves. One of the top X370 ATX boards, it features all the ROG gamer features like the Aura Sync RGB LEDs, compatibility with 3200MHz RAM, M.2 socket, and even pins for watercooling support. More on the ASUS Crosshair VI Hero HERE.
ASUS VC239H
This monitor is certainly not cutting-edge, nor is it top of the line. However, there’s a certain allure to the simplicity and quality of the ASUS VC239H. No frills, just a simple 1080p display, IPS panel at 60hz, at 24 inches. Oh, and competitively priced! Simple, gets the job done, and decent quality. I guess that’s why people have called the VC239H as the Monitor ng Bayan, and they’re not wrong! More on the ASUS VC239H HERE.
ASUS ZenPower Powerbank
This may be a bit unorthodox, but does everyone remember the powerbank craze a few years ago? The market was flooded terrible powerbanks that lose its charge after a few cycles. ASUS then released its ZenPower. Small, yet heavy duty, the Zen Powerbank likely doesn’t raise eyebrows but its quality is in how long it lasts, and the charge it provides. The latest iteration of ZenPower, the ZenPower Ultra has a crazy 20,100 mAh capacity!
ROG Concept Store
Technically, it’s not a product. But the ROG Concept Stores are incredible from a marketing stand-point. Often with expensive and bulky products, folks have to rely on reviews and videos to make their judgement. With the ROG Concept Store, folks are able to see and inspect the products for themselves, which helps people make informed decisions. Not to mention it’s a great marketing strategy! Here’s a look back at the opening of the first ROG Concept Store at SM Megamall.
ASUS Zephyrus
Lastly, we come to the ASUS Zephyrus. The research and technology ASUS has poured into maximizing space has paved off with the world’s thinnest laptop housing a beast Nvidia GTX 1080. With gaming laptops, the compromise for power is often the size and weight. Either you have a beefy and bulky laptop, or a lighter yet also lightweight one. The ASUS Zephyrus smashes that convention with a 16.9mm frame, up to 24GB of Ram, and a 120Hz IPS screen with G-sync. Truly a marvel of innovation!
