We’ve been fans of the latest Leica lens-wielding smartphone from the Chinese smartphone company ever since we held it in our hands for a quick hands-on about a month ago. With a superb form-factor, and crazy mobile cameras that can rival great point and click cameras for photography and videography, the P20 and P20 Pro formally launches today!
Fans of the brand and the smartphone series gathered along SM Mall of Asia Atrium to be one of the first to get their hands on the unit.
Retailing at Php 34,990 for the P20 and Php 44,990 for the P20 Pro, these devices are not necessarily budget-friendly, still with the amount of people wanting to get their hands on a unit, it clearly shows that the Filipinos are sending some love to Huawei. Speaking of love, our Kween Pia Wurtzbach, sends her love to the Huawei fans by gracing the event with her radiant presence!
As someone who’s been using the P10 for more than year, I am crazy excited with the world’s first triple Leica-camera smartphone and possibly getting my hands on on today! There are a couple of ways to do so.
Pre-orders and Early Retention Deals by Telcos were available and if you went for the trade-in, you’d get an extra PHP 4,000 to the value!

If that’s a little bit off your price point, there is the P20 lite available today as well. This solid mid-range offering from Huawei will be competing under the 20k-range bracket (at Php 15,990). And while the phone does not have the Leica-branded lens on its shooter, our sister site Unbox.ph has run numerous tests on the unit and came out saying the shooter is still pretty impressive.
If have been eyeing the P20 or P20 Pro ever since Huawei announced it earlier this year then we suggest you head over the SM Mall of Asia Atrium today to try and secure your unit and snag a freebee or activate a promo or two.
Also, if you want to see just how good this phone is, Manila Bulletin just used a photo taken from a P20 Pro for the cover for their newspaper! Gorgeous!
