Starting today you and everybody that grew up with Disney and its characters –along with Disney-acquired properties such as Star Wars and Marvel—can access a huge library of movies, tv series, music and exclusive clips straight from your mobile devices via the DisneyLife app.
While the app has been in existence for some time, this is the first time DisneyLife will be made available to Asia. Upon launch, Disney fans can enjoy a roster of 350 movies from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars franchise; more than 5000 tv episodes and more than 6000 music tracks. Expect this to grow as the months progress. What’s great, as well, is how these tidbits are curated.
Each visit to a particular title unlocks a wide-array of content like behind the scene clips, interviews, music and whatnot showcasing a much fuller experience with a particular content IP. Plus, it’s a great way for people to discover more about a particular title without the need of opting out of the app service.
While 350 movies may be small in comparison to the various streaming services out there (Netflix, iFlix, Hooq and even YouTube), the curating of DisneyLife somehow makes watching there much more pleasurable. PLUS, they have hard-to-find Disney titles like Newsies in tow.
With Globe showcasing their strong partnership with Disney, all existing and/or new or recontracting customers on ThePLAN or ThePLAN PLUS 999 will be getting a 6-month free subscription of the service afterwhich they can avail of it on a relatively reduced monthly rate of Php 149/month instead of the regular Php399/ month (you have to subscribe via Globe for the discount to take effect).
New and existing Globe At Home Postpaid customers who applied or upgraded to Plan 1,299/up, will also get a free 6-month subscription to DisneyLife. An additional free 3-month subscription to DisneyLife will be given to customers who purchase Globe Streamwatch Roku Powered and those with Globe At Home’s Go Unli Plans can enjoy unlimited DisneyLife movie nights with speeds up to 100Mbps and unlimited data.
With each subscription, consumers can create 6 accounts, register up to 10 gadgets, and use the DisneyLife app simultaneously across four devices. That’s actually a pretty sweet deal considering the price. So if you want to take a magical nostalgia trip down your Disney-filled memory lane, I highly suggest you check the app out. Even without subscribing to Globe, the app will offer you 7 days free trial (just make sure to opt-out before then so you won’t be charged).
