The Netflix Experience Area was definitely the highlight of last year’s AsiaPOP Comicon. Due to popular demand, Netflix is back at APCC 2018, and the Experience Area managed to exceed our expectations! It’s even bigger than last year, and it features themed areas from Netflix’s library of hit shows.
If you still need more convincing, then here’s what you’re missing out at the Netflix Experience Area:
This APCC, Iron Fist’s Chinatown will greet you when you enter the Netflix booth. Once there, members of the ‘Hatchet Gang‘ will direct people to fun activities that are must-dos for any Marvel series fan.
You can take pics of yourself punching a wall and/or a car a la Iron Fist himself!
There’s also the 270-degree photo booth that lets you take awesome slow-mo vids while acting out Danny’s signature move.
Finally, there’s a (temporary) tattoo station where you can get an Iron Fist tattoo, or a Hatchet Gang one if you’re so inclined.
Moving on from Chinatown, you can make your way to Pop’s Chock’lit Shoppe for some free milkshakes!
Inside, you can watch a live and exclusive performance by Josie and the Pussycats. You can even get a photo-op with the girls if it’s your lucky day!
After having your fill of milkshakes and awesome tunes, you can head on over to the Palace Arcade straight out of Hawkins, Indiana (from Stranger Things if you haven’t watched it yet).
Unlike your typical arcades though, this one is free! You can play cool retro games such as Mrs. Pac-Man and Galaga all you want (remember to give time for other players as well).
If the retro titles are not enough, there’s also a recreation of the Byers’ family residence, complete with Will’s creepy drawings from Season 2.
Of to the side of the Palace Arcade, there’s a space dedicated to the upcoming animated series Disenchanment, created by The Simpsons’ Matt Groening.
Finally, there’s a spot for another Netflix Animated Series, this time for every office worker’s spirit animal, Aggretsuko! At the space, you can take photos with Aggretsuko character stands, and even get a free Aggretsuko face paint (or Retsuko if you’re feeling extra chill).
There you have it! These are the awesome things you’ll see at APCC 2018. Though to be honest, we haven’t showed you everything there is to see; there’s still a ton of surprises awaiting APCC attendees. Not to mention the FREE NETFLIX SWAG!
AsiaPOP Comic Con 2018 is happening this weekend (July 27-29) at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia. Tickets are still available at the SM Tickets website, SM Tickets outlets, or at the venue itself.
