The month of E3 is finally here, but before the biggest gaming event of the year, some games are still on their way. From smaller releases and big titles, let’s check them all out here:
Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth (3DS) – June 4
Here’s another Persona Q title is coming up following the 2015 release of Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth. This latest addition to the spin-off series is Persona Q2 New Cinema Labyrinth, and it follows mainly the Phantom Thieves from Persona 5 (alongside P3 and P4 characters), as well as introduce new characters. So if you can’t get enough and want more Persona action better check this out.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (PS4, Xbox One, PC) – June 18 (Switch) – June 25
Koji Igarashi’s spiritual successor to the Castlevania series, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, let’s the player play as Miriam as she traverses a demon-infested castle, with gameplay similar to the classic metroidvania games. The game has been in the works for quite a while now, and it’s finally releasing this June 18 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC; the Nintendo Switch version meanwhile, will launch on June 25.
Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled (PS4, Xbox One, Switch) – June 21
The remake of the classic PS1 kart game arrives this June, and it features matching characters and kart skins. The game will also feature a Retro Stadium as the old-school track will definitely send racers back time.
Judgment (PS4) – June 25
Set in the same world of Yakuza series, Judgement follows the story Detective Takayuki Yagami as he investigates a series of murders. This spin-off title will feature similar fighting system like the one used in Yakuza 0, and it” introduce a new mechanic called the “investigation mode” which allows Takayuki to find traces of the criminals to help his investigation. Players can start the investigation when it arrives this June 25.
Samurai Shodown [2019] (PS4, Xbox One, PC) – June 25
The first release of the series in a long time also serves as the game’s reboot — Samurai Showdown. The game features a stylized, graphic novel-style art design, and it puts the focus on character balance as SNK is aiming to enter this title as an E-sport game.
The Sinking City (PS4, Xbox One, PC) – June 27
Enter a strange land and uncover the truth that lies ahead in The Sinking City, a game based on the Lovecraftian mythos. The Sinking City will challenge players as it will feature a non-linear story, complete with open investigation gameplay that’s sure to challenge players. Will you defeat the horrors of this city or fall victim to madness?Ffind out when The Sinking City releases later this June.
Super Mario Maker 2 (Switch) – June 28
Gear-up as Super Mario Maker 2 launches later this month! Much like the first Super Mario Maker from 2015 for Wii U, this 2D platformer will feature level-editing, plus it expands from the original with new features that utilizes 3D models as a gameplay aspect. The sequel also include new level themes such as desert, snow, sky, and forest; it will also include Luigi, Toad, and Toadette as playable characters for Network Play.
