Globe at Home Air Fiber 5G unveiled; first 5G fixed wireless internet in SEA

Get fiber-like speeds for your home with 5G tech!

For every gamer, having Fiber internet at home is the best option. With a fiber connection, users get the fastest possible connection, great not only for multiplayer gaming, but also for streaming. The problem with fiber though is that it’s not available everywhere, and it’s infrastructure is rather difficult to roll-out.

Enter 5G. While 5G is seen as the next big thing for mobile internet, it’s also a great option for wireless home internet given the fiber-like speed it offers. 5G internet for homes may not be widely available yet, but Globe is blazing a path for 5G connectivity with the launch of Globe at Home Air Fiber 5G.

Globe is the first telco in SEA to release 5G fixed wireless broadband internet, and it’s going to roll-out soon in select areas. With Air Fiber 5G, Globe offers fiber-like speeds of up to 100Mbps and data packages of up to 2 terabytes.

As for plans, Globe at Home Air Fiber 5G will be available at PHP 1899 per month for up to 20Mbps, PHP 2499 for up to 50Mbps, and PHP 2899 for up to 100Mbps. All come with up to 2TB data capacity.

“The arrival of 5G has caused excitement in the global world of telecommunications. Today, we made a crucial step in fulfilling our goal of connecting more Filipino homes, and our vision of bringing first-world Internet to the Philippines,” said Globe President and CEO Ernest Cu.

Globe at Home Air Fiber 5G will be available to eligible customers in July 2019 in select areas in Pasig, Cavite, and Bulacan.
