Earlier this year, Samsung released the S10 line, and they’re definitely great flagship devices (we were certainly impressed with the base S10). Though if you’ve been holding out for the next Galaxy Note phones, you’re in luck. Samsung has finally unveiled the Note10 line, and boy is it one helluva device for productivity!
Yes, it’s not just a Note 10, it’s the Note 10 line — meaning there are now two variants of the Note to choose from. The standard Note 10 packs a 6.3-inch 1080p display, while the larger Note 10+ has a massive 6.8-inch 1440p screen. Even though the Note 10+ is one large device, it’s actually still easy to hold and use.
While the two Note 10 variants differ in size, both pack Samsung’s Cinematic Infinity AMOLED display with the hole-punch notch, this time at the middle instead of at the right side. The screen has an edge-to-edge design, which should make for an immersive viewing experience. The Note10 line’s display is also HDR10+ certified, meaning photos and videos will be brighter and have more eye-catching colors.
Of course, a Note device won’t be a Note without the S Pen. For the Note10 line, Samsung updated the phone’s S Pen with an improved handwriting to text function, as well as “Air controls” that lets users use gestures to play games or use certain apps.
If that isn’t enough productivity for you, Samsung also made improvements on the Note10’s DeX capbilities, along with adding Link to Windows features.
All these productivity features are moot if the Note10 isn’t powerful enough; good thing Samsung packed the line with the Exynos 9825 processor (an upgrade over the processor of the S10 line). With this, the Note10 should be able to handle any game you throw at it with ease. And to add even more power, the Note10 features Game Booster which optimizes performance and power consumption depending on the game.
Aside from being more powerful, the Note10 line also features Super Fast Charging which Samsung claims can make the phone last for a day with just 30 minutes of charge.
For its cameras, both the Note10 and Note10+ pack a 16MP + 12MP ultrawide + 12MP telephoto camera setup. The Note10+ though has an added DepthVision Camera. Both phones meanwhile pack the same 10MP selfie shooter.
On paper, the cameras of the Note10 are pretty promising. While we’ve yet to give the phone a proper camera test, we did get a few sample shots in (using a Note10 model that’s not a final production unit). Check them out here:
