It’s been less than two weeks since Square Enix took Tokyo Game Show 2019 by storm with tons of new gameplay footage of the Final Fantasy VII Remake, and now they’re back at it again with even more reveals.
Recently, Square Enix released new screenshots from the FFVII Remake, and boy did they get us hyped up for the game even more! Check them out here:
The new screenshots include cutscene images, as well as snaps from gameplay, including Barret and Tifa in battle mode. Though aside from these images, Square Enix also gave us a better look at some of the summons in the game:
As shown during the gameplay reveal, the summons (such as Ifrit) will actually fight alongside you instead of just damaging enemies after a fancy animation. Other info revealed by Square Enix is that there will be a classic mode — a semi-turn-based mode that lets players focus on commands without having to manually dodge and block. Square also confirmed that mini-games will be back in the Remake!
Finally, Square Enix revealed the Western cover art for the FFVII Remake, and it’s basically an HD version of the classic FFVII cover:
While we’re not yet sure if this is the cover art for the game when it releases in the Philippines, what we do know is that the game will be available in the Standard, Deluxe, and 1st Class Editions in the PH on March 3, 2020.
