ESGS 2019 is the place to be to play games and watch esports tourneys, but that’s not all there is to the event. In fact, it’s also an event for gamers who want to get an insight into the inner working of the industry.
One way that ESGS is shedding some light into game development is via various talks and programs. Ubisoft Philippines for example, is set to bring deep insights into the world of AAA game development during three separate talks tomorrow, October 26.
The topcis of the talks are: Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered: A Production Retrospective, Texturing for AAA Games, and Math for Game Programmers. These will take place specifically Meeting Rooms 2 and 3 of the SMX Convention Center starting 10:30 AM tomorrow. The talks will feature info straight from developers who have worked for AC3, as well as other games in Ubisoft’s wide catalog.
To complement these talks, Ubisoft Philippines will also hold a Portfolio Review Session, where aspiring artists and game developers can showcase their work and get on-the-spot feedback. This will also happen at Meeting Rooms 2 and 3 at 5:30 PM on the same day. The session will be conducted Ubisoft professionals who have worked on various AAA titles.
The best part is, both events will be free and open to all! Register for the events here. Better hurry though, registration closes today.
“This is our third year of offering in-depth talks and portfolio reviews for free,” said Chip Go, Studio Manager of Ubisoft Philippines. “We’re here to share our expertise and inspire the next generation of Filipino AAA game developers. This is our way of giving back to the community.”
Aside from these AAA game development talks, Ubisoft will also hold live presentations of Just Dance 2019 and Rainbow Six Siege at the ESGS mainstage tomorrow at 10:35 AM and 3:55 PM, respectively.
ESGS 2019 is happening now until October 27 (Sunday) at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City. Tickets for the event are still available at SM Tickets outlets.
