Earlier this year, Globe held its first Esports Center at UP Town Center. Now, Globe has once again partnered with Mineski to open the Esports Center (ESC) in Eastwood City.
The new Esports Center in Eastwood promises to further grow the PH esports community by offering a wide range of experiential activities such as community leagues, mentorships, and special apperances by Team Liyab athletes.
“As the leader in the development of the Filipino digital lifestyle, we continue to invest in the future of Esports in the country. By doing this, we continue to push the boundaries of digital entertainment for our customers, particularly the games and esports they are so passionate about. With the Esports Center (ESC) we are giving the community, the Esports athletes and the fans a physical home to enjoy, share, improve and elevate their experience. The ESC is for everyone with a passion for games and Esports,” said Nikko Acosta, Globe SVP and Head of Content Business Group says.
The opening of ESC at Eastwood comes just after the Philippines’ great showing at the recent SEA Games Esports event. Sibol, the PH national esports team, ended the even with 5 gold medals and five medals overall — the most out of all participating countries.
The Esports Center is located at Eastwood Mall in Eastwood City, and it will be open until March 18, 2020.
