After the phone’s limited initial pre-order and launch, the Samsung Galaxy Fold is finally available in select stores in the Philippines. When the phone was first launched in the country last November, pre-orders were limited only to Globe and Smart postpaid offers. Now though, user can buy their own Galaxy Fold at select Samsung stores without the need for a postpaid plan.
As the first foldable phone in the market, the Galaxy Fold commands a premium price of PHP 109,990. Interested buyers can purchase the phone via a Banco de Oro (BDO), Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), Philippine National Bank (PNB), Security Bank, Metrobank, or Citibank credit card to get a 0% interest deferred payment option for up to 24 months (until June 30, 2020 only). Buyers who pay the full amount using their credit card meanwhile, will receive PHP 4,000 worth of cashback (until March 31, 2020).
Finally, the Galaxy Fold is part of Samsung’s ‘Trade In Trade Up’ promo until June 30, 2020 wherein consumers can swap their old premium phones for a Galaxy Fold at any accredited store.
“We are grateful for the overwhelming support we received from our customers when we first offered the Galaxy Fold. Now, we would like to give others a chance to have an experience like no other as they get their hands on this innovative device,” says Jerry Mañus, Business Unit Head of IT and Mobile, Samsung Philippines.
