Back in 2018, OPPO launched the Find X, one of the first modern smartphones with pop-up cameras. It went on to become a major influence in the smartphone market, with lots of other brands releasing phones with pop-up camera modules for a true borderless display.
This month at Mobile World Congress 2020, OPPO is set to releases the follow-up to its first pop-up camera phone — the OPPO Find X2.
According to a post on Chinese site Weibo, the Find X2 will not have a pop-up camera module; instead, it will have a tiny holepunch notch at the upper left side. While it may not have pop-up front and rear cameras, the Find X2 will feature OPPO’s “waterfall screen” technology, making it the first-ever smartphone with the aforementioned display tech.
Aside from its impressive display, we don’t have much info yet regarding the Find X2. We’ll have to wait till the phone officially gets announced at MWC 2020 at Barcelona on February 22, 2020.
