Part of the trio of devices that was announced by Huawei recently is the Huawei Watch G T2e, a sportier version of the acclaimed Watch GT. What we love about Huawei wearables is that they more or less address key pain points in Fitness Trackers and Smart Watches from the past.
With the Huawei Watch G T2e, Huawei ported a lot of the convenience and power of the Watch GT and made a silhouette that is geared towards those who are in the pursuit of a more active lifestyle.
The silhouette of the watch has been simplified and crafted for more rigid usage with a wider bezel and a full lug configuration. This much boxy watch design is paired with a unique Floroelastometer bands – a synthetic rubber strap that’s supposedly works better at repelling sweat, odors, germs and any buildups – perfect for those needing to go on a run, work up a sweat at your home gym or take a swim in a pool or the open waters.
And yes, as a smart watch turn sports watch, you can do all of those and the Huawei Watch GT 2e will be able to accurately track your performance. Even if you leave your phone behind. That is thanks in part to the Huawei Watch GT 2e’s build-in GPS system and 16MB RAM with 4GB of ROM.
Why do you need that much storage? Well, you can store music on your watch as well really taking the necessity of lugging around your Huawei phone with you whenever you have to go on about your exercise routine. You can pair your Huawei Watch GT2e with, say, the wireless Bluetooth headset Huawei Freelace (an excellent choice in our opinion) and enjoy hours upon hours of music.
As a fitness tracker, the Huawei Watch GT 2e also takes note of your heartrate and stress responses accurately. It can even offer various breathing exercises to destress you if and when the watch determines your heart rate spikes above normal on normal conditions. This can also be an early warning system against possible heart defects and diseases looming in – something vastly important.
Adopting from the Watch GT 2, the Huawei Watch GT 2e has a 2-week battery life on normal continuous usage – this is one of the best key features we enjoyed wit the original Watch GT as well. And with myriad of workout modes and watch faces to choose from, the Watch GT 2e is one of the more versatile smart watches out in the market.
But perhaps, what caught our attention even more is the price! With an SRP of just PHP 6,990 and Pre-Order bonuses of up to PHP 1,190, the Huawei Watch GT 2e is a welcome addition to Huawei’s growing family of wearables indeed.
The Huawei Watch GT 2e comes in Graphite Black, Mint Green (our favorite) and Lava Red and can be pre-ordered from April 15 to April 24, 2020 at these online retailers: Lazada and Shopee.
