While DreamHack Montreal has been postponed to 2021, Blizzard has announced that it will still hold the Masters Tour Montreal but as an online-only event on September 11-14, 2020. For this tournament, invited players will be able to compete for glory, and for the lion’s share of the USD 3 million total prize pool for 2020!
Interested in joining? Here’s how you can get an invite to Masters Tour Montreal:
- Win one of 90 online Masters Qualifiers between June 4 and July 26 on Battlefy
- Finish with at least a 7-2 record at Masters Tour Online: Jönköping and Masters Tour Online: Asia-Pacific
- Place within the Top 8 of a Masters Qualifier for Masters Tour Online: Montreal 5 times
- Place top 16 Legend on the in-game Ladder in the months of June and July
- Be a Hearthstone Grandmaster
Aside from these, there will also be additional invites given through local Hearthstone tournaments in the region. In the Philippines, the Hearhstone Elite Series is happening now until July, with the top players by the end getting invites to the Masters Tour Montreal.
The Hearthstone Elite Series Philippines tournament has a total prize pool of PHP 30,000 in cash, 122 Hearthstone card packs (estimated value of USD 224), and a year’s supply of Indomie noodles. The 2 winners of the tournament will be invited to participate in the Hearthstone Masters Tour Montreal, Canada, happening from September 11-14. This tournament is open to Filipino citizens that are residing in the Philippines during the event period.
