Recently, Huawei launched the Y6p in the Philippines, a new budget phone priced at only PHP 5,990. Thanks to its triple camera setup, massive battery, and capable processor, the Huawei Y6p is definitely a solid budget smartphone option.
Of course, you might think that a phone that affordable will struggle to play games. Actually, the Y6p can handle quite a number of games! In fact, here are six games that you can download and play on Huawei’s latest budget offering:
Asphalt 9
Asphalt 9 is a high-octane racing game that we usually use to test high-performance smartphones. But did you know that the Huawei Y6p can actually run it? Yes, the Y6p can run Asphalt 9 smoothly, albeit not at high graphics settings. Even at a lower graphics setting though, Asphalt 9 is still a must-play if you love racing games. Best of all, the game is currently available via the AppGallery, Huawei’s own app store.
Naruto: Slugfest
Released earlier this year, Naruto: Slugfest is a game that’s also available right now on the AppGallery for free! In case you’re unfamiliar, Naruto: Slugfest is a 3D action MMORPG where players take control of a new character in the Naruto universe. Slugfest follows the iconic story of Naruto: Shippuden, and features exciting gameplay, multiple classes, and a fairly large game world.
Garena Free Fire
Up next we have Garena Free Fire, a battle royale shooter where players must face off against 49 other players, with the ultimate goal of being the last one standing. As with most of today’s popular battle royales, Garena Free Fire lets players form 4-man squads, but it does come with unique features such as the ability play as a unique character, and many more. As with Asphalt 9 and Naruto: Slugfest, Garena Free Fire is also available on the Y6p via the AppGallery.
World of Tanks Blitz
World of Tanks Blitz is another game that’s available on the AppGallery, and it features 7v7 tank battles! Complementing the fun 7v7 main game mode are a wealth of features, including over 350 unique and exclusive vehicles, 25 locations, an extensive progression system, and more.
Creative Destruction
Creative Destruction is another battle royale game that you can get on a Huawei Y6p via the AppGallery. Much like Free Fire, Creative Destruction has players face off against each other until only one player (or squad) is left standing. What makes Creative Destruction different is that you can also build structures to help defend you in a fight, a mechanic popularized by the mega-hit battle royale, Fortnite.
Mobile Legends
Finally, we have Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, arguably the most popular game in the Philippines right now. It’s no surprise really; after all, a lot of Pinoy gamers love MOBAs, and ML:BB gives players their MOBA fix in just 15 minutes or so.
Unlike the other games on this list, Mobile Legends is not available on the AppGallery. Though don’t worry, you can easily download it on the Huawei Y6p via third-party APK stores such as APKPure. If you need more info on how to download games/apps from third-party stores, check out our guide HERE.
