Microsoft held its first Series X game showcase back in May, though it was a bit of a disappointment for fans as not a lot of big new titles were revealed. Sure, there were lots of cool indie games that were revealed, but there’s no “killer app” level title that was shown. Now, Microsoft is gearing up for another event, and this time they’re planning something bigger!
Via the official Xbox twitter, Microsoft announced that the Xbox Games Showcase is happening on July 23 at 9am Pacific Time (July 24 at 12am in PHT). The event will go live on Twitch, Facebook, and YouTube; plus, there will be a Summer Game Fest pre-show hosted by Geoff Keighley before the event at 8am PT (9am PHT).

While Microsoft did not reveal much about what games to expect in the showcase, we’re hoping to see first-party Xbox exclusives. After all, Microsoft has acquired lots of studios since 2018, including the likes of Ninja Theory, Undead Labs, Double Fine, and many more. Though we do expect to see more info on Halo Infinite, as well as Hellblade II (which was revealed back in December at the Game Awards), or maybe even another big new game, especially if they want to one-up PlayStation’s PS5 showcase last month.
The Xbox Series X releases in Holiday 2020.
