At last night’s Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung revealed the latest entry to the Note lineup, the Galaxy Note 20 series. Much like last year’s Note 10 line, this new productivity-focused flagship series consists of two main variants — the Note 20 Ultra and the base Note 20.
Note 20 Ultra
Of the two, the Note 20 Ultra is no doubt the highlight as it packs a massive 6.9″ edge 1440p display with incredibly thin bezels, HDR10+ certification, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the Note 20 Ultra is an Exynos 990 SoC, the same chipset used in Samsung’s S20 line.
For its cameras, the Note 20 Ultra has a triple shooter setup consisting of a 108MP main, a 12MP ultra-wide, and a 12MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom and up to 50x hybrid zoom. For the most part, this camera setup is similar to the S20 Ultra, though it lacks the S20’s 100x zoom feature and 3D ToF sensor.
What the Note 20 Ultra has though is Samsung’s signature S-Pen. For this new flagship, the S-Pen comes with even less latency at 9ms, which should make for a better writing experience.
The Note 20 Ultra itself comes in two variants, the standard LTE model and a Note 20 Ultra 5G edition.

Note 20
Alongside the Note 20 Ultra (and the 5G model) is the base Note 20. This phone has a smaller 6.7-inch display with a 1080p resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. The cameras also differ as the base Note 20 has a 12MP main + 12MP ultra-wide + 64MP telephoto (3x zoom) triple camera setup. The Note 20 does share the same Exynos 990 processor and S-Pen as the Note 20 Ultra.
Similar to the Note 20 Ultra, the base Note 20 will also come in a 5G version.
