September 19 is Batman Day, and to celebrate the upcoming occasion, DC has unveiled plans for a global Batman Day celebration that will include various digital activities. Though even if September 19 is a few weeks away, DC has already kicked off the celebration via a partnership with Waze.
To celebrate Batman Day, a Batman theme for Waze has just been released! With this theme, drivers who use Waze can opt to change the app’s voice to that of Batman (voiced by Kevin Conroy) or the Riddler (voiced by Wally Wingert).
Yes, this means you can be guided to your destination by Batman or the Riddler himself when using Waze!
Aside from the Batman and the Riddler voices, the Waze and DC collab will also let users select a custom Batmobile icon and Batman mood. The Batman theme is available on Waze worldwide from August 31 to October 31, 2020, with the voices available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Later this month, DC has more Batman-themed activities lined up, including free digital comic giveaways, free activity kits for kids, a Batman Virtual 5K/10K Run/Walk, and even a digital mystery to solve. This mystery will let fans team up with Batman via social media to piece together a series of clues left behind by the Riddler. The mystery begins when the virtual Bat-Signal lights up at 12PM PT, September 18, on the @DCComics Twitter.
