After a string of not-so-good news lately, here’s something to surely brighten up manga and anime fans, especially those who miss Haruhi Suzumiya! It’s been awhile (9 years ago to be exact!) since we heard from the franchise but in a recent post from their official Twitter account, it looks like a brand-new novel will be coming out this November!
Here’s the official announcement in Japanese:
‼㊗超速報🎊‼
「涼宮ハルヒ」シリーズ待望の最新刊が発売決定
待望の最新刊タイトルはコチラ!『涼宮ハルヒの直観』
11月25日発売決定!明日9月1日から各書店にて予約受付開始!https://t.co/u5JyJMuR4F pic.twitter.com/2Ib3ghGuGZ

Original creator Nagaru Tanigawa and illustrator Noizo Ito are back at the helm in making a new story – titled Suzumiya Haruhi no Chokkan (or “The Intuition of Haruhi Suzumiya“).
Not much details were spoiled and expect this to roll out to a Japanese audience first, but I’m assuming that it will not take long for a fan to translate the whole thing after its release. Be sure to check out the interwebs when the new content releases November 25. After the light novel, here’s to hoping that an anime special will follow!
