While Sony has recently announced the price of the PlayStation 5, the company has yet to show off real-world images of the next-gen consoles. So far, it’s still hard to see what the PS5 will look like in real life based on just the console’s official photos.
Now though, we finally have some actual images of a PS5 console! The images come via Taiwan’s National Communications Commission (NCC).
Check them out here:
While there aren’t any items in the images to compare it to, based on the measurements in the photos, the PS5 is MASSIVE! In fact, Sony has already revealed the dimensions of the console, and they are 390mm x 104mm x 260mm (width x height x depth) for the standard version. Given these dimensions, the PS5 is easily one of the biggest consoles ever; and it’s the biggest console in the past couple of decades.
Aside from photos of the PS5 itself, the Taiwan NCC also had images of the PS5 stand, as well as the DualSense controller:
To give you a better idea of the PS5’s size, here are some handy images of the PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition dimensions:
For reference, here are the dimensions of the PS4 Pro and the PS4 “Slim”:
So yes, both PS5 variants dwarf their predecessors. If you’re going to get a PS5 this holiday season, you better make sure it fits under your TV!
The PlayStation 5 is priced at USD 499 (around PHP 24,160) for the standard edition, while the Digital Edition has a price tag of USD 399 (around PHP 19,315). The consoles will release on November 12, 2020 in the US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and South Korea. Meanwhile, the rest of the world will get the PS5 on November 19, 2020.
