Following the 2020 event’s cancellation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Taiwan Computer Association (TCA) has announced that Taipei Game Show 2021 is happening on January 28-31, 2021. The event will be held both online and offline, with the physical event taking place at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1.
While most other video game conventions this year have gone fully online, Taipei Game Show’s decision to hold an offline event in just a few months is quite interesting. Though it’s not wholly surprising; after all, Taiwan has been highly effective in containing the COVID-19.
Taipei Game Show 2021 will include three main sectors: Asia Pacific Game Summit, B2B Zone and B2C Zone. Among the event’s highlights, the Asia Pacific Game Summit and the INDIE SALON will feature physical events as well as an online streaming component.
Even with the COVID-19 pandemic, Taipei Game Show 2021 expects to see 350k visits and about 500 Exhibitors to take part in the event. The expected visitors will be able to enjoy the show’s B2C Zone which promises fun and immersive experiences.
While Taipei Game Show 2021 will have an offline component, there are no details yet on how the event will handle attendees from other countries.
Taipei Game Show 2021 is happening from January 28-29, 2021 for the B2B Zone. Meanwhile, the B2C Zone will be open from January 28-31, 2021. For more info on the event, visit https://tgs.tca.org.tw.
