Even though Mass Effect 3’s ending wasn’t exactly well-received back when the game released, the whole Mass Effect trilogy is still regarded as one of the highlight RPGs of its time. In fact, fans have been clamoring for a remaster of the first three Mass Effect games for quite a while now. Recently, fans’ prayers have finally been answered!
Bioware has just announced the Mass Effect Legendary Edition, a remaster of the Mass Effect Trilogy that’s releasing in Spring 2021 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC; complete with forward compatibility with Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.
According to Bioware, the Legendary Edition will include single-player base content and DLC from Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3, along with promo weapons, armors, and packs. The Legendary Edition is also optimized for 4k Ultra HD, as well as faster framerates, and a host of visual enhancements.
Alongside the trilogy remaster, Bioware has also revealed that the next Mass Effect game is currently in the early stages of production. And while Bioware has yet to reveal much info about the newest entry to the series, the studio did say that a veteran team is currently working on the project.
More info on the Mass Effect Legendary Edition and the next Mass Effect game will be revealed soon.
