Originally scheduled to release in late 2020, Square Enix has announced that the mobile game NieR Re[in]carnation will be releases in Japan on February 18, 2021 for Android and iOS.
NieR Re[in]carnation is the first mobile game in the series, and it will release as a free-to-play title with in-app purchases. Fans of NieR who are interested in the game can now pre-register on the game’s website; though it’s available only in Japanese. Pre-registering for the game will give players a wealth of in-game goodies.
In case you’re unfamiliar, NieR Re[in]carnation is a mobile game that will feature an all-new story and characters, along with various returning characters from the NieR series. The game will feature a turn-based battle system, 3D and 2D exploration, and of course, a gacha mechanic.
While the game will first release in Japan, NieR Re[in]carnation will also release in North America and Europe sometime soon. Currently though, there’s no word yet on an English release in other countries; here’s hoping the game does get a worldwide release in the future.
