CES 2021 saw a lot of reveals from ASUS, including the new ROG lineup as well as the Z590 motherboard series. Following these, ASUS unveiled yet another line of devices, this time new premium laptops in its ZenBook, ExpertBook, and Chromebook series.
ZenBook Pro Duo/ZenBook Duo
First released back in 2019, the ZenBook Duo lineup has received a refresh for 2021. First up is the ZenBook Pro Duo which now packs up to an Intel Core i9 processor, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 laptop GPU, up to a 1 TB PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD, and up to 32 GB RAM. The Pro Duo also has an OLED 15.6-inch main display, as well as 14-inch 4K UHD ScreenPad Plus.
Meanwhile, the ZenBook Duo also received a big upgrade. The refreshed Duo is powered by up to an 11th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, up to an NVIDIA GeForce® MX450 graphics card, up to 16 GB RAM, and up to a 1 TB PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD. For its display, the ZenBook Duo has a 14-inch main screen and a 12.6-inch ScreenPad Plus.
Aside from spec bumps, the new ZenBook Pro Duo and Duo introduce a new tilting ScreenPad Plus. With this, the secondary display on both laptops now automatically tilt upwards by up to 9.5°, reducing glare and reflections for improved readability.
ZenBook 13/14
The next laptop in ASUS’ CES 2021 lineup is the ZenBook 13 OLED and the ZenBook 14. The 13 comes with a 13-inch FHD OLED HDR NanoEdge display that’s Pantone Valildated. Meanwhile, the 14 packs a 14-inch QHD Display, along with an ultra-slim 14.3 mm profile and up to 16-hour battery life.
ExpertBook B9/B1
Aside from new ZenBooks, ASUS also revealed two new ExpertBook business laptops–the B9 and the B1. The ExpertBook B9 is one of the world’s lightest 14” business laptops, and it is now powered by the Intel vPro platform. This platform delivers business-class performance, hardware-enhanced security features with Intel Hardware Shield, as well as Intel Active Management Technology (AMT) for remote management.
The ExpertBook B1 meanwhile, is another business laptop, and is powered by an 11th Gen Intel Core™ processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics. The laptop also runs on ASUS’ Intelligent Performance technology, letting it switch between Performance, Balanced, and Whisper mode, depending on the workload.
Chromebook CX9
Finally, we have the Chromebook CX9, a premium Chromebook that is only 16 mm thin and weighs around 1 kg thanks to its lightweight magnesium-alloy chassis. The laptop also packs a 14-inch NanoEdge with a 91% screen-to-body ratio.
