It was recently announced that Resident Evil Village voice actress Jeanette Maus has died at age 39 due to colon cancer. Maus voiced several characters in Resident Evil Village, including the game’s witches.
Maus fiancé, Dusty Warren, confirmed her passing on social media with the words:
“It is with a shattered-yet grateful-heart that I inform you that Jeanette Maus passed away late last night due to complications of cancer,” Warren wrote on Facebook. “I’m really sad, but I’m super proud of her. She fought so hard, with tremendous grace and optimism, inspiring myself and I’m sure many of you.”
Regarding her passing, Capcom said:
“We here at Capcom R&D 1 are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Jeanette Maus, the talented actress who helped bring several different characters, including our witches to the world in Resident Evil Village. Our hearts go out to her family and loved ones.”

While Resident Evil Village has not been released yet, the witch trio in the game already became fan favorites after they were shown in the recent Resident Evil showcase.
Aside from her work in Resident Evil Village, Maus has appeared in films such as Charm City Kings, My Effortless Brilliance, and Your Sister’s Sister.
