In Pics: Unboxing the Monster Hunter Rise Collector’s Edition

Magnamalo amiibo looking good.

Its been awhile since we got back into the world of Monster Hunter (and no, the movie does not count for me) and its good to see the franchise hop once again to that little hybrid console that could. While our review for the game is still in progress, here’s just a quick rundown in pictures of everything that you can get with the Monster Hunter Rise Collector’s Edition for the Nintendo Switch.

Here’s basically everything you will get.

Deluxe Kit Contents (Digital):
– Hunter layered armor “Kamurai” set
– Palamute layered armor piece “Shuriken Collar”
– Palico layered armor piece “Fish Collar”
– Gestures (4 Jumps)
– Samurai pose set
– Kabuki face paint
– “Izuchi Tail” hairstyle
Collector’s Edition Contents (Physical):
– Monster Hunter Rise Game
– Magnamalo amiibo
– Monster icon sticker pack
– Kamura Mark – Enamel Pin

I personally love the Kamura Pin and the Sticker Pack. Its a nice small package that’s a bit different from Monster Hunter: World. But hey, at least the figure is functional.

Here’s a better look at the Sticker Pack.

Perhaps the centerpiece of the whole collection is the Magnamalo amiibo.

Personally I feel that its one of the better figures from the amiibo line out there (Ganondorf still tops the list for me). And its just not something that you just display, since its an amiibo it additionally unlocks a special layered armor that you can use in the game.

Feel like you missed out? What’s good to know is that you can get the Magnamalo figure separately along with the Palico and Palamute amiibo. If you’re in the Philippines you can check out Datablitz for these items and other games and accessories.

Monster Hunter Rise is now available for the Nintendo Switch. Until next time folks, keep on gaming!
