Huawei is entering Huawei is entering the gaming market with the MateView GT, a new gaming monitor which launches in the Philippines on July 6. This new gaming display from Huawei follows the brand’s expansion to more segments, including the home TV market with its recent Vision S Smart TV.
The MateView GT is a premium gaming display that features a 34-inch ultrawide curved panel with a 3440×1440 (21:9) aspect ratio. Aside from being an ultrawide, the MateView GT also has a 165Hz refresh rate, meaning it should be a good match for esports titles which benefit from high refresh rate displays.
The new Huawei display also has an integrated soundbar, meaning it should provide good gaming/movie audio even without an external speaker. On top of this, the MateView GT also promises good color accuracy as it supports DCI-P3 color space, and it has 350 nits and a contrast ratio of 4000:1. To further enhance the viewing experience, the MateView GT also has HDR 10 support.
The Huawei MateView GT will launch in the Philippines on July 6, 2021. Pricing and availability of the new Huawei Gaming Monitor will be revealed during the launch.
