Streaming giant Netflix just dropped a bomb over Twitter. They officially announced that a live-action adaptation of the popular Shonen Jump manga/anime series by Eiichiro Oda – One Piece is heading over the platform.

The image appears to be the script for the first episode, titled “Romance Dawn”. The pilot is written by Matt Owens and Steven Maeda. No specific details with the release date and casting yet but it is said that the first season will have 10 episodes.

After 30 minutes, a follow-up Tweet was made, teasing the logo and the slogan “no matter how hard or how impossible it is, never lose sight of your goal.”
Netflix announced the series last year and went quiet a bit. But now, after this announcement it looks like the popular franchise is is locked and green-lit to appeal to a wider set of audience. With this and the upcoming Cowboy Bebop set to stream on November 19, it seems that Netflix really wants your attention (attention meaning subscription).
