FromSoftware producer Yasuhiro Kitao recently revealed in a showcase during Taipei Game Show 2021 that Elden Ring will have a length of 30 hours for the main storyline.
Specifically, Kitao remarked during the recent Elden Ring showcase that the game’s main storyline shouldn’t take 30 hours or so to complete, but that’s only counting the required content to beat the game. Elden Ring also features a wealth of side content that should add dozens of hours to the game’s overall length, depending on how fast they explore and how well they do in combat.
As for completionists, Kitao also mentioned in the showcase that it will be impossible to “100%” the game in one run. This is because Elden Ring will have several branching paths near the end, meaning players will have to replay the game to experience everything. For players who do want to replay the game, Elden Ring will have a New Game+ mode similar to previous FromSoftware games.
