Following the teaser a couple of weeks ago, realme has finally launched its new flagship GT 2 Series in China.
The highlight of this new flagship phone is its design which features a bio-based eco-friendly polymer material. It is co-designed by former MUJI collaborator Naoto Fukasawa, and it is billed as the “Paper Tech Master Design” which realme states is a more sustainable alternative to standard smartphone materials.
Aside from design, the GT 2 Series smartphones feature 2K displays, 5G connectivity, and the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset (the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor). On top of this, the phoen also features a 150-degree camera for fish-eye photography.
“To be honest, for realme, which has only been established for three years, it is no less challenging to do a premium business than to start a new one,” shared realme’s Founder and CEO Sky Li during the launch. “Going premium is not just about shouting slogans or assigning sales tasks. We have encountered and will continue to encounter unprecedented challenges in terms of user insights, tech innovation and brand building. But we are still quite confident as we are fully prepared,” added Li.
Currently though, there’s no word yet on when the realme GT 2 Series will launch in the Philippines.
