Following the action-packed all-Filipino M3 World Championship finals, the best Filipino squads will face off once again in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League – Philippines (MPL-PH) Season 9. The next season will begin on February 18, 2022.
This hotly-anticipated MPL season comprises of Bren Esports, Echo, Smart Omega, Nexplay EVOS, TNC Pro, RSG Philippines, ONIC PH, and the defending champion Blacklist International. The eight teams will compete for glory, and for a prize pool of USD 150,000 this season.
Aside from getting to see top Filipino Mobile Legends teams in action, MPL-PH Season 9 will also bring new rules to spice things up. In the new season, the team that will end first will will determine the placement of the third or fourth-ranked teams in the Playoffs. Basically, The higher-placed team will get to choose the teams that they would get to meet in their bracket — a fairly similar setup to the recent MPLI 2021 format.
Another change is that each team can have as many as three assistant coaches or analysts to support them. Though only one will help the head coach during the drafting phase.
MPL-PH Season 9 is happening from February 18th to April 10th, and the playoffs are set to happen on April 28th to May 1st. The weekly schedule of the new MPL PH season is as follows:
- Friday: 6PM onwards
- Saturday: 4PM onwards
- Sunday: 4PM onwards
