Last June 26, OPPO Philippines held their first Game On Cup 2022 finals at the Mall of Asia Main Center Atrium where four teams fought it out for supreme victory in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. The event was powered by Oppo’s newest mid tier phone offer, the Oppo A96 smartphone.
AP 2.0 and Click E-Sports heated things up, opening the 1st round of the semi-finals. Both teams went all out in a best of three battle. Click E-Sports took the lead by grabbing the first win of the day but tables were turned quickly as AP 2.0 swept the next two rounds securing them a spot in the finals.
The 2nd round kept the audience on the edge of their seats as El Ganador Knights made an epic comeback from being behind KSigns Gaming in their first match. KSigns Gaming did not make it easy for El Ganador Knights as they took the 2nd game, but despite KSigns Gaming’s efforts, El Ganador knights’ brutal offense still secured them a spot in the finals.
In between games, OPPO handed out special prizes and limited edition items to lucky attendees who signed up for the event. With the El Ganador Knights and AP 2.0 moving to the finals, Oppo kept things interesting by breaking the tension by bringing out their very special guests during the half time.
Blacklist International (BLCK)- OPPO A96’s ambassadors, M3 and Sea Games Champions – graced the event with their presence and we were lucky to get a chance to ask them a few questions:
How does it feel to play at an international stage compared to playing locally?

Which ML Hero do you find hard to deal with in general and why? (Collectively Fanny)
Vee: Pinakamahirap gamitin ever since nilabas sya si Fanny. Kitang kita naman na sobrang hirap kami dito kasi [ano] parang sobrang hirap gamitin ng skill set nya. (Sinong Hero yung mahirap katapat?) SI Fanny din.
Wise: Fanny. Kasi [ano] sya yung pinaka mahirap gamitin kasi ang daming pang counter sa kanya tska pagkamaster yung Fanny mahirap gamitin kung katapat.
Oheb: Si Fanny din! Mga hero ko kasi mga malalambot Pag may kalaban akong Fanny
Edward: Layla – kasi kapag Layla ka nakatingin sayo lahat ng hero
Eson: Mozkov, ako lang nakakagamit non wala nang iba

What advice can you give to aspiring professional esports players?
Hadji: Disiplina po tska [ano] sumunod sa magulang tska magaral po ng Mabuti
Eson: Dapat una sa lahat ineenjoy mo yung ginagawa mo para tumagal ka sa industriya
Edward: wag pababayaan yung sarili kumain ng tatlong beses tsaka maligo araw araw. Yung iba kasi hindi na kumakain tsaka naliligo.
Oheb: Magpakabait kayo at magaral ng Mabuti
Wise: Para sakin yung ugali, yung attitude mo towards the game pat isa mga kateam mo is very important kaya dapat makisama ka yun lang yung ugali ayusin.
Vee: kahit paulit ulit nang sinasabi, attitude always comes first lalo nap ag nananalo na kayo, kung gusto nyo tumagal sa esports kailangan talaga attitude over skill.
Coach Bon Chan: Ienjoy lnag lagi nila yung laro kasi in the first first yun naman talaga yung larong kinahiligan nila maglaro lang sila nang maglaro hindi nila alam nasa pro scene na sila ng hindi namamalayan.
Dextar: keep enjoying game tapos practice tapos ayusin yung attitude and adjust sa mga magiging kakampi.
After this this short interaction, finalists AP 2.0 and El Ganador Knights had the opportunity to be coached by the SEA Games champions themselves. Armed with new strategies from their mentors, the two teams entered the final round.
AP 2.0 took an early lead as they won the first two games in the finals. But El Ganador Knights did not allow them to take the sweep as they reclaimed victory in the 3rd and 4th games. The heated battle continued as the 5th and deciding game ensued. At first glance it looked like AP 2.0 was taking the win easy by getting all lords that has spawned onto the map, but El Ganador Knight’s defense was hard to breakthrough, taking the deciding game to the 26 minute mark. But the undeniable champions were still AP 2.0 bringing home a 50,000php cash prize and Oppo A96 phones. But of course the valiant El Ganador Knights still walked away with 30,000php and Oppo devices. Runners up K Signs Gaming and Click E sports also took home cash prizes and gadgets.
