After its announcement earlier this month at the State of Play stream, Callisto Protocol just got two and a half minutes of gameplay at Summer Game Fest, and it’s looking pretty good.

Now, we have an overall feel of what to expect from this new sci-fi survival horror game. Glen Schofield’s Striking Distance Studios pulled out all the stops in giving us that dark, claustrophobic, and gruesome horror game that we’ve been missing in the past decade.

In case you’re unfamiliar, The Callisto Protocol is an upcoming sci-fi horror game from Glen Schofield, co-creator of the Dead Space series.
The game’s premise is described as:
“Set on Jupiter’s dead moon Callisto in the year 2320, The Callisto Protocol challenges players to escape the maximum security Black Iron Prison and uncover the terrifying secrets of the United Jupiter Company. Players will need to search their surroundings and adapt their tactics, using a unique blend of shooting and close-quarters combat to survive a mysterious outbreak that has thrown Callisto into chaos.”
The Callisto Protocol launches on December 2, 2022 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
