The New Razer Barracuda Lineup is here and It Looks Quite Promising

Razer expands its multi-platform wireless headset variant, the Barracuda X with 2 new variants namely the Razer Barracuda and the Razer Barracuda Pro. Announced and launched quite recently, these trio of “street-styled” gaming headsets is sure to appease the multi-gamer in you as it comes packed with various new technological inclusions.

One of which is the Razer SmartSwitch Dual Wireless (2.4GHz and BT), allowing you to pair your Razer Barracuda to two devices switching between one and the other instantaneously without the need to go through the process of pairing again. This is extremely useful if you’re gaming and you suddenly need to take a call. All Barracuda models support both Razer HyperSpeed Wireless (2.4GHz) and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, for high-speed gaming performance and mobile-friendly Bluetooth convenience.

The Razer Barracuda Pro is the top-of-the-line wireless gaming headset among the series. The Razer Barracuda

Similar to the Pro version, the Razer Barracuda base model is also equipped with the Razer TriForce Bio-Cellulose 50mm Drivers and THX Spatial Audio for premium audio clarity and great sound immersion. The FlowKnit Memory Foam headband and earcup padding allow for long-term comfortable wear, with the on-headset controls easily within reach for access to the headset functions.

It also comes with the Razer SmartSwitch and an Integrated Beamforming microphone with noise cancellation. One interesting addition to the Razer Barracuda that seemingly is not present in the Pro version is the inclusion of a 3.5mm audio jack for analog input.

The Razer Barracuda X

And finally, rounding up the trio of sweet audio devices announced, is the 2022 refreshed version of the Razer Barracuda X. Full Bluetooth support has been added through the inclusion of Razer SmartSwitch Dual Wireless, while battery life has been more than doubled and now delivers up to 50 hours of use on a single charge.

Instead of integrated Noise-cancelling microphones, the Razer Barracuda X comes with a detachable HyperClear cardioid microphone that should still deliver clear voice pickups when you need to call the shots in APEX Legends of whatnot. The Barracuda X is powered by large 40mm Razer Triforce Drivers and support for 7.1 Surround Sound. The device is also the lightest among the trio weighing just under 250g making it a great lightweight all-round multi-platform gaming headset.
