After not being available in the last couple of years, smartphone and smart device brand HONOR makes a return to the Philippines with new local partner, Iridium Technologies.
HONOR’s return to the Philippines was made official in a recent contract-signing event which was attended by Daniel Wang, Director of Channel Management Department of Honor Device Com., Ltd., and Ricky Sy, President of HONOR Philippines/Iridium Technologies Inc.
This new agreement will make HONOR products available in the country through it Iridium Technologies.
While HONOR products will soon be available in the Philippines once again, there’s no word yet on which specific devices will be released here. Though it was confirmed by Sy that smartphones, laptops, and wearables will be made available in the country.
“As HONOR returns to the Philippines, we are confident that the brand will be well received by Filipino consumers. The brand’s re-entrance would also mean that HONOR products will soon become more accessible to Filipinos,” said Ricky Sy, President of HONOR Philippines. “The Philippines is a key market in Asia that we are committed to serving. We are positive to continue to gain consumer’s trust and popularity by providing the best products,” added Sy.
Previously, HONOR was a sub-brand of Huawei, but it was sold back in 2020 to a new company. This means HONOR smartphones can run Android with Google services.
