In Pictures: Unboxing The God of War Ragnarok Jotnar Edition

Hammer time!

Manila, Philippines – The day is finally here, bois! One of the most anticipated titles this side of 2022 has finally landed to our friendly local game stores and from the looks of it, Santa Monica Studio’s God of War Ragnarok is revving up to be a strong contender for game of the year! (Ungeek’s review here).

For the more die-hard Kratos aficionados out there, a simple standard edition may not be enough to satiate that god-like desire of getting the best merch. Luckily, they release a Jotnar Edition that has all the bells and whistles (and even a hammer) to please even the grumpiest of beings – gods and mortals alike!

Let’s see what’s inside:

First off, the box color of the Jotnar Edition differs from regular collector’s edition. The former sports the Gold/Yellow theme, identifying it as the more premium of the two. While the latter, on the other hand has a blue box.

Brok’s Dice Set comes in various sides. If you are a tabletop RPG enthusiast this will prove to be useful for you especially if you want to pimp up your gaming night. The Set comes is D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, D14 and D20 variants.

7 inch Vinyl (featuring Music by Bear McCreary)

2-inch Vanir Carvings. Perfect for accompanying the Huldra Brother’s Carvings from the previous game’s collector’s edition.

Falcon, Bear & Wolf Pin Set

Yggdrasil Cloth Map

Legendary Draupnir Ring. You might need a god-sized finger to wear this.

Steelbook Display Case, front and back respectively. Sadly, there is no game disc included but the Jotnar Edition gives you a redemption code for a digital copy of the game. Hey, it’s better than nothing!

Knowledge Keeper’s Shrine. This serves as a diorama piece on where you can display the main attraction of this bundle which is…

…The 16 inch Mjölnir Hammer! This replica has quite a bit of heft to it. Not to mention some intricate details on the grip and head!

And there you have it! God of War Ragnarok is now available both in physical and digital versions for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 console.

Special thanks to Aljan James Mendoza for sharing his Jotnar Edition copy with UnGeek.
