MetaverseGo and Globe are partnering to bring Filipinos into the metaverse. MetaverseGo CEO Ash Mandhyan and Globe Chief Marketing Officer, Pia Gonzalez-Colby, announced their collaboration at The Globe Tower, signing their contract alongside the annual Globe Innovation Fest.
MetaverseGo, the all-in-one-platform to the metaverse, has officially partnered with Globe, bringing the metaverse experience to Filipinos by eliminating the barriers to entry by – providing fast and easy access, only requiring a Globe mobile number.
“Choosing to launch in the Philippines first was a no-brainer because of Globe,” said Mandhyan. “Not only have they facilitated adoption of several consumer tech products that have become essential to the modern Filipino, but their continuous pursuit of innovation has built them into one of the most trusted brands in the Philippines. We’re incredibly excited to push the boundaries of what’s possible as we co-create experiences that enrich Filipinos’ digital lives.”
“Globe is proud to partner with locally-developed MetaverseGo, aligned with our vision of enriching Filipinos’ lives through digital innovation. Through this pioneering partnership, we want to make it easier for Filipinos to benefit from Web3 games and guilds with simpler and easier access through the MetaverseGo application.” said Pia Gonzalez-Colby, Globe’s Chief Marketing Officer.
Globe subscribers were first introduced to MetaverseGo through Globe’s annual 917 #ExtraGDay throughout September 2022. Globe subscribers get 1GB of free data allowance to experience the MetaverseGo app and get first dibs on its exclusive features through the GO promos and FamSURF packages. This promo runs until August 29, 2023 and allows Globe subscribers to discover games, join guilds, and own an NFT. Visit this link to know more about the exclusive offer.
MetaverseGo and Globe also made 917 Gudi NFTs available for rewards redemption through the GlobeOne App. The NFT served as the ticket to #GMusicFest at the Circuit Events Grounds on September 17. Globe is one of the first telecom providers in the world and the first in the Philippines to launch an NFT collection (GDay NFT Collection) with real world utility.
This collaboration between MetaverseGo and Globe continues to make earning, purchasing, and exploring the metaverse accessible to gamers and first-time web3 users. When a third of the online population in the Philippines adopted the Play-to-Earn (P2E) gaming model during the pandemic, it became clear to both MetaverseGo and Globe that Filipinos are ready to enter the metaverse.
