The Playstation God of War: Ragnarok Japan Ad is sheer perfection

Never change, Japan. Never change.

The new installment to Kratos’ deity death simulator, God of War: Ragnarok has broken out its fair share of gimmicks upon release. From larger-than-life murals to boxes of goodies, we get our fair share of fanfare and fun. But if you haven’t seen the official Playstation God of War: Ragnarok Japan Ad, then you haven’t seen ’em all.

What we get is a childrens’ show rendition of what would be the super gist of God Of War: Ragnarok. Well, maybe. It comes complete with a catchy tune, Shin-SASUKE legend Hiromichi Sato, backup dancers, and some moves you can try on your own–because we know it’s already stuck on your head. We feel it’s only apropos that Sato-san would be the one presenting this. I mean, he could probably survive the game in real life, given his skillset.

Need lyrics? No problem. Facebook has an abridged version

Of course, this isn’t the only ad floating around the interwebs. We do have a more star-studded version from the west:

Different sensibilities call for a different brand of humor. They’re both nice in their own rights. We just can’t dance to Ben Stiller’s version, is all.

God of War: Ragnarok is out now for Playstation 4 and Playstation 5. Check out our review if you’re looking to pick up this brand new installment.
