If you are one of the fans in the United Kingdom who’s dying to watch HBO’s The Last of Us live-action adaptation, but is not currently subscribed to any streaming service connected to the hit series, here’s a bit of good news for you – The first episode is free to watch on YouTube! (Via Sky TV’s YouTube channel).
Alternatively, you can also watch it for free via HBO Max, again region-permitting.

Whether you’re a fan of the video game or not, this free demo (if you will) can serve as a great way to immerse yourself with the fluff and lore that is widely considered to be one of the best stories ever told in the video game medium.
Here in the UK, as far as I know there are two services that features The Last of Us and that is SkyTV and NOW, where the latter I’m currently subscribed on as it is the equivalent of HBO Max in the region. I love the IP so much that it was enough for me to subscribe and stick around for awhile.
For fans outside the country or regions mentioned, you might want to check in your area if they are offering the free episode but even if not, I know that like Ellie and Joel – gamers are very resourceful in figuring things out (if you know what I mean).
