In case you missed it, here’s a quick rundown of all the games announced and highlighted at last week’s Xbox & Bethesda Developer_Direct.
This showcase happened last week, and while it may not be to the scale of Xbox and Bethesda’s E3 season shows, it still featured lots of new info about upcoming games as well as a surprise reveal from Tango Gameworks
In case you missed it, here’s a quick rundown of the event:
Hi-Fi RUSH
First up, we have Hi-Fi RUSH, the surprise announcement from Tango Gameworks, the studio behind The Evil Within and Ghostwire: Tokyo.
While the studio is primarily known for horror games, Hi-Fi RUSH is wildly different as it’s a game that combines the freedom of an action game with a major rhythm game component. The best part is, this game was released as soon as its announcement was made.

Minecraft Legends

This Minecraft spin-off is an action-strategy game that features both a story-driven campaign, as well as competitive and cooperative multiplayer modes.
Minecraft Legends will be released on Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, Windows 11/10 PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5|4, Steam, and Nintendo Switch.
Redfall
Another game that got an update is Redfall. Releasing on May 2, 2023, Arkane Austin showed off a new gameplay deep dive that features an extended showcase.
In this video, fans are given a peek at the game’s open world, player customization, the vampires, and more.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom
Another big update comes from ZeniMax Online Studios which revealed this year’s big Chapter update — The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom.
In this Chapter, players will return to Morrowind to explore its eastern regions. The update will also introduce the new Arcanist class which features new abilities and mechanics.
Plus, it was also announced that a limited-time free trial for ESO Plus will be available to all players with the base Elder Scrolls Online, even those on Game Pass. This means players can play all past chapters (excluding High Isle) and DLC during the free trial’s run.
ESO: Necrom will be released in June on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
Forza Motosrport
Finally, Turn 10 Studios showed off how they’re making Forza Motorsport into a true next-gen game that will take full advantage of the Xbox Series X|S consoles’ power. The game is set to release this year on Xbox consoles, PC, and Game Pass.
