At Xbox and Bethesda’s Developer_Direct, Tango Gameworks surprised gamers with the reveal of Hi-Fi RUSH, a single-player rhythm action game that’s available now.
Yes, no need to wait for months to experience this game as it was released shortly after the reveal at Xbox and Bethesda’s event!
Aside from the surprise announcement and release, Hi-Fi RUSH is an interesting game from Tango Gameworks. After all, the studio is best known for horror (or horror-adjacent) games such as The Evil Within and Ghostwire: Tokyo.
Check out the launch trailer for the game here:
Hi-Fi RUSH is a game that combines the intensity and freedom of action games with the rhythm of a music game. While players can freely attack, by attacking along with the beat, players’ attacks become much stronger.
To give players even more incentive to stay on the beat, the game features licensed tracks from iconic rock bands including Nine Inch Nails and The Black Keys.
The game’s premise is described as:
Hi-Fi RUSH is a rhythm action game set in a colorful world where everything is driven by the beat of the music – from the trees swaying in the environment to every hit landed during combat. Combat sequences perfectly align to the rhythm of the music, allowing for gameplay that is not only exhilarating but also extremely satisfying. A player’s moves aren’t dictated by the music like in a traditional rhythm game — players have the freedom of a full action game. However, inputting actions with the beat amplifies the player’s attacks along with the music.
Hi-Fi RUSH is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Game Pass, and PC. For players on PC, the game can be purchased through the Microsoft Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
